Please read these before contacting me about design or infographic work:

Q. What's your deal?
A. I'm a writer, entrepreneur, and graphic designer in New York. I do infographics for media companies and brands, and I operate several websites.

Q. Can I hire you for web design?
A. I don't do web design anymore. If you're looking for a web designer contact my friend Evan at EvanMade.com or Jason at JasonGrover.net.

Q. Can I hire you for my company?
A. I run my own company and am not looking for a position elsewhere. I'm flattered, though, when I get requests like this. So thank you, but no thank you! :)

Q. Can I hire you for infographics?
A. Yes!

Q. How much do you charge for infographics?
A. The base price for an infographic is $2,000. If you need us to go out and do research, data collection, or interviews, I charge another $500. If you're willing to give credit with a link when you publish the graphic, I knock $200 off the price.

Q. Isn't that a lot?
A. Yes, but you get what you pay for. A bad infographic is a 100% waste of money. A good infographic can get you as many as a million pageviews to your site, or more. Even if it doesn't hit big on social bookmarking sites, a good infographic will continue to get attention to your site for a long, long time and adds professionalism and expertise to your brand.

Q. Do you do social media promotion?
A. Generally I will refer you to other people for PR rather than offer it as a service you can pay me for.

Q. Do you work alone, or are you more of an agency?
A. I do much of the artwork myself, but I have a few assistants including a research assistant and several illustrators. I oversee brainstorming, design, and finishing touches on all graphics. Between us, we can produce any kind of artistic style you want.

Q. How long does an infographic take?
A. If you are ready with what you want to do, expect about 2 weeks turnaround from start to finish.

Q. How do we get started?
A. Send an email to infographics@shanesnow.com with the following information: 1) Your Name and contact info; 2) Website you want to publish the infographic on; 3) Topic or title you want for your infographic; 4) Details on your goals and specifics of the graphic you want; 5) Whether you want us to take care of brainstorming and research or not.
